Our History
Aurora Sound Studio was founded in 2010 by Elias Thorne, a passionate audio engineer with a vision to create a world-class recording environment in the heart of Seattle. Elias, a graduate of the prestigious Berklee College of Music, recognized the need for a studio that not only offered state-of-the-art equipment but also fostered a collaborative and creative atmosphere for artists.
Starting with a single room and a modest collection of equipment, Aurora Sound Studio quickly gained a reputation for its commitment to excellence and its ability to capture the unique sound of each artist. Word of mouth spread throughout the Seattle music scene, and soon the studio was attracting a diverse range of clients, from indie rock bands to hip-hop artists and voiceover professionals.
In 2015, Aurora Sound Studio underwent a significant expansion, adding two additional recording rooms, a dedicated mixing suite, and a comfortable lounge area for clients. This expansion allowed the studio to accommodate larger projects and offer a wider range of services, including recording, mixing, mastering, and voiceover production.
Over the years, Aurora Sound Studio has been privileged to work with some of the most talented musicians and artists in the Pacific Northwest. Our recordings have been featured on national radio, in film soundtracks, and on numerous commercially successful albums. We are proud of the role we have played in helping artists achieve their creative goals and share their music with the world.
